Pay attention to what xironman suggests. Throwing a cast net is in fact a lot of fun,plus fresh bait.When you get to the beach and get things settled in,go to the wash with your net(4' or 5' max}and throw the thing.Even if your as bad with it as I use to be you will probably net a mullet or two. Cut them into chunks,into a plastic container,and into the fridge, at the least the next morning you have fresh bait.I watched Gibbillon of videos ''How to throw a cast net'',no help to me,not to say it want help you.The way I finally figured it out was by watching a guy throwing one and his method looked so simple.I did a crazy thing and walked up to him and asked.I explained that I have never seen a net cast that way. Good reason he replied,''Never seen one thrown that way ether'' I've since tweaked his method,VERY small tweak,and have a lot of fun casting in the back yard.I think about him and his gracious smile when he showed me how to cast an open net.His name is Mark,hope he is doing well
