I havn't fished from the pier but striper fishing by boat there is decent rite now. The bonner bridge is fine, its the new bridge over the new new inlet created by irene thats made of metal sheets and the limit is 25 mph. I've driven over it quite a few times and it's in good shape, just looks like a bridge that was made to get the island open quick, but i trust it.
