Used to be a great Trout hole just north of the Kitty Hawk Pier.Not sure it's there since the pier is shorter, but might be worth a try since you are close.King might know if it still exists.Last time I was there a guy scored a 8 lb. fishing next to me in late Sept a few years ago.
