I recently took out John with his family and friends on a 1/2 day trip. John is on this board once in awhile. I was hoping to put them on some trout and puppy drum. As it turns out, the wind was howling and the casting was tough. The bottom fishing was just as tough. We put a lot of small croaker and pigfish in the boat and little Jack got to reel in his fair share. We moved to the other side of the sound and found a little lee where we ended the trip. The fishing will improve as the water temps go down.
