Line Color

Now that I"ve got everyone's opinions on lines, which I greatly appreciated, is there a difference in line color being used? I've seen high visibility greens, red, high visibility yellow and clear used. Last year I spooled up with clear but really was flying by the seat of my pants for my first outing at surf fishing.
