My fish story.

That's an amazing catch. I've been catfishing there before a long time ago and almost lost a rod and reel. I had the drag loose but either not enough or the drag stuck and the fish pulled the rod off the stick then dragged the rod down to the water faster than I could run. There was a tree with its roots exposed at the edge of the water and the reel got hung on the roots. I had to climb out on the tree roots in the water to get the reel loose and the fish was still on going about 50 mph. The hook didn't set and I got the bait back with a big bite taken out of the cut bait. That was it for the rest of the night.
