Summertime

I was talking about 13 year olds. I don't go looking for shells all the time, mostly if I have people asking for them. Just some advice for summer, the best place to look on a crowded beach would be the fresh rocky gravel piles and edges that form around low tide close to the water. They are usually over looked by people and have some nice smaller size whole shells and a few pieces of sea glass, the green is easy to see if it's sunny. Sometimes you can find the big shells there, they tend to wash in and out of the drop off in those areas. You might have to watch the drop off for about 10 waves then go in and catch it in the wave if something is there. The clearer the water the better.
The snorkelers get a lot of big conch shells during the summer close to the beach. You need clear water like a light wind blowing from the ocean. What they go by is you need to be able to see your feet in waist deep water.
