Fishing Report - Rodanthe Area

Just got back from a great vacation with family and a good week of fishing.

Rodanthe Pier was loaded with fish for most of the week. I caught Sheepheads , Pompano , Bluefish , Spanish Mackerel , Flounder , Croaker , Mullet , Spot , Skates and Stingrays. I saw 1 King Mackerel caught. There were a couple of Cobia seen swimming around the pier.

I wasn't able to catch any pups , but they were swimming around in small schools. I saw 1 or 2 schools every hour or so one day and never managed to get one. Tried a TON of different rigs and bait for them too. It was also the first year in a long time that didn't include a sea robin or two.

Good times for sure. If anyone wants to hear about rigs , size or numbers for the fish , just ask! One of the best trips I've had for a while
