I use the 2 lb sized plastic coffee containers. Fill with damp sand and sand fleas then do what King said. Make sure you dump out the waste products or they will all poison themselves. You can carry three or four in a small cooler. Instead of using ice cubes, try freezing a 1/2 gallon milk container with water and setting it in the cooler. They don't do well with direct ice contact.
