I just got back from the beach by Crown Point. Surf is a little rough and a good current running. The prescribed method for trout are jigs and mirrolures. It's going to be tough to feel the bottom with a jig right now, but might be worth a try (heavy jig - at least 3/8 or even 1/2 oz). The beach up here is pretty flat and there has not been much structure to it, up until the weather and surf of the last two weeks. I have been fishing up here for the last few months and have not seen anyone fishing on the beach since Thanksgiving, so I don't know if there is anything other than sand sharks to be had. I'm looking for stripers and blues and hoping that the cold water will bring some new life. Good Luck.
