fishing

coming down new years weekend. never been down later than oct.1. mostly surf fish ramps before avon pier. i think #34 or before. i like the one just before pier. mostly fish bottom rigs with cut mullet,shrimp,etc. is this a good place this time of year or should i try something new? any help would be great.
