Been there and done that. I'm a right hander big time. flip youre reels and go lefty. I's hard at first,but you are going to be amazed how fast you can pick it up. When I say "flip reels" I mean puting the cranker on the right side. As far as your'e shoulder goes,my docter sent me to a sports rehab outfit and they gave me a program using giant rubber bands. I't WORKED. No knife. Hope this helps,Rodney
