Ah storie time !!!! Ok everyone gather 'round, get your hot coca or coffee and come over to the fire and have a seat.
My story begins in Maryland where i met the fairest maiden in the land and asked her to be my wife, and for some reason she said yes.... that still boggles my mind but back to the story.
After getting married in the house of God ( our church ) and having our festive reception in the middle of many animals ( the baltimore zoo ) we made our journy down to the harbor to spend our first evening as a newly wed couple. We had a very nice stay just blocks from the national aquarium and all the shops that surround the bay. As i walked around the bay area i noticed how dingy and nasty the bay water was, the trash laying on top and dead fish floating by. My heart was saddened with the sad sights and my wife and I wished to be in a place where the water was clear, the fish were alive and well and we could actually eat what we caught haha. So the 6 1/2 journy to the OBX began around 4pm. At the time of our arrival it was dark obviously being 10:30 at night. We could only catch a glimps of the ocean front as we drove deep onto the island chain, Finally we arrived ) I jumped out of the car and carried my wife to the door and we went in. It was everything we had hoped for and more. Upon arriving the luggage ( except the morning bag ) stayed in the car! The hot tub was turned on the windows were opened to hear the ocean beat against the sandy shore and we began a 7 day retreat in paradise!
During our stay we ventured to the NC aquarium, Oakracoke,Many fine restraunts and i got to fish evey morning at the Rodanthe pier as my wife would sleep in until about 11 am. They say the places to go are Hawaii, Mexico or other tropical places, But i would challenge anyone to go to the OBX and convince me that it is not one of the best times they have had on a vacation. It is nothing but beach, it is quiet ( in the south ) and the fishing, restraunts and sites to see are all top quality!
We just went back last year and tool 11 people total down, there was not 1 dissapointed person on the trip.
Now we are looking into moving to the NC coast within the next 1 - 2 years. So all in all a good end to a great time.
Ps: We will be coming down to the Top Sail Island area in May and again in Sept. This is where we are looking to move as our organization has some churched not far from there!
