deer and squirrels and turkey like the pin oaks(that is what i call them too). i have red oaks which are bigger. i have what i call black oak which have a big yellowish acorn. deer will save them as the last resort. have a pretty good variety here hickory,popular,cherry,walnut,ash, and some i have not identified yet. i cut up a nice walnut tree that had blown down. nice pretty wood. tried to give it away, nobody wanted. it kills me everytime i put a piece in the woodstove. have a nice week. going to get pretty cold around here. 30's and 20's.
