A friend of mine called me after Christmas having a spot for me in a house in Rodanthe as a couple could not make it. Last week of March. A little windy and chilly not to complain. Keeper drum beside the house Monday. Got cold. Girl at the bait shop at the head of the light house road suggested fresh mullet chunks top hook , peeled shrimp on bottom hook. Another keeper that Sat. morn. They ate the shrimp. Lost a honker when it straightened out the swivel. Good people from Hatteras Jacks to the Teah's lair. 17 years removed, seems like yesterday.
