Friday Rodanthe Report

0540-0910 hrs. Surf. ESE 4-7. Mostly sunny. High humidity early. Water clear. Beach deserted till round 0815 hrs. No other fishermen out.

Watched paddle border out past 4th bar headed south, followed by about 100 ft by a breaching shark.

The Good, Bad, and Ugly:

Good….Beautiful morning again. Blessed w/ a 3rd week of good weather. No surf camp around. Kids/grandaughter enjoying the beach.

Bad…2 dogs off leashes.

Ugly…Apprx 0810 hrs. Rod in spike, hand on reel. Pole bends, spike pulls out.
Cut off. New 20lb. test. Only bite in 6 days. Salvo Hole Monster strikes again.

Back to Waves tomorrow for week #4. SF house w/ a pier..
