I left out the part with no power there's no pump and no flushing of toilets. There is a pond that the county built around back for fire trucks. Had to grab some 5 gal buckets and haul water to flush, It was survival island for a while. Unless there's a hurricane, the power isn't out for more than 2 days but I still bought a small propane generator after that ordeal.

It used to be that we would get a nice drum, trout and even striper run around thanksgiving. Now not so much. The stripers don't really travel south of the Chesapeake before going out beyond the 3 mile limit. The drum & trout run ends about the end Oct. Haven't been down for thanksgiving in years but I may have to give it a go this year.
