Rodanthe Report Thursday

0530 - 0930 hrs. Low tide. SW 10-15 gusting to 20. Water that browned up yesterday ... no change. Dirty waves at outer bar 4-5 ft. Unable to fish high tides at all this trip. Those in daylight always when beach crowded.

Beach pretty much deserted, only 5-7 walkers passed. 1 lady w/ Piggly Wiggly bag was picking every bit of broken shell on beach.

1 other fisherman out throwing silver. Nothing.

1st dolphins seen.

Packed away sound gear.

Forecast = rain by late night increasing all day and thru evening tomorrow. Morning fishing may be a wash out.

Dinner location tonight up to Birthday Boy (Son-in-law). High school teacher 27 years. Head wrestling coach, head freshman football coach, asst. track coach. A trophy husband and father. And... who is like another son. Always there for this Capt.
