Have you seen the Price of Bloodworms?

So I wanted to do some white perch fishing this weekend and I usually grab a pack of bloodworms but they're $15/Dzn here.

Anyone have luck with any other kind of bait? In the past, I've tried fresh shrimp, clams and artificials with no success. I've heard regular night crawlers might work but never tried it.
