TW'S Bait and Tackle Report

Surf- Few sea mullet, puppy drum, trout and bluefish showed up yesterday afternoon before the wind picked up. Most of the sea mullet have been caught on shrimp and bloodworms and the drum, trout and blues have been caught throwing artificial lures on trout rods. This week looks like it’s going to start out a little windy and rainy; but should get much better throughout the week and into the weekend. We have a good amount of NE wind in the days to come so hopefully that warms up our waters and we will see a few spanish show up on the pier as well.
Sound- Good trout and puppy drum fishing. The bait of choice for catching puppy drum and trout has been artificial lures grubs, mirrolures, etc.
Piers- There has been a few scattered sea mullet around and a few bluefish. We have been seeing a handful of drum, and trout being caught on the piers daily as well.
Inshore- Few Spanish and bluefish around and hopefully towards the end of the week we will see a few more cobia.
Offshore- They have caught a decent amount of kings, a few yellowfin, blackfin, mahi and bigeyes on there passed trips.
Below you will see today’s forecast and a few of the trout we have been seeing swimming around in the surf over the past few weeks!
