Thanks for the information! We ended up coming down Friday morning from Raleigh, so it was mid-day before everything settled down. Glad I didn't bring my boat, as I only had a chance to fish off our friends' dock on the ICW the evening of the 4th. Looking east from the Pirates Cove dock made for a nice show......the fireworks over the OuterBanks were nice and the Manteo show was a bit better since it was much closer. Anyone hear about the fire that started during the show?? We could see it from Pirates Cove........we thought it was a boat at first, but as it grew we could tell it was on land. Never saw anything on the news about it!

Didn't do anything off the dock. Used shrimp with bottom rig and dragged a C-rig for a while, too. No luck, but the beersodas were cold!
