I had a wonderful week thus far fishing in some of my favorite holes in and around Manteo and Oregon Inlet this week. Off the Bonner Bridge I have never or nor do I ever remember seeing so many sheepshead being caught in number and size. During the 6 or so hourse I spent on the bridge over 3 days I caught some where in the number of 20 plus and the majority of the fish averaged 4lbs and up. We did manage to land and bring up one citation during the short time fishing the Bonner, but citations were being caught left and right and I truly do mean this. One of my other favorite hangs is the Little Manteo Bridge and I have been able to catch a good number of spot, croakers, trout, pig fish and stripers. I have been having a blast and it is so very nice after finally being on the mends of my health issue with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever to be finally holding a tight line again in my beloved Outer Banks. Happy 4th of July everyone. Debbie
