Mon early... Sun. Salvo/ Rodanthe Odds and Ends

Up at 0400 hrs. Some stuff to share waiting for 1st lite.

Dolphins appeared for 1st time off Ramp 25 Fri.

Top Dog reopened this week. Take out only.

Oceana Bistro Avon served inside Sat. morning. Only 3 tables w/ customers. By afternoon changed policy to outside and takeout only.

Sat. 1000 AM. Traffic north backed to MP 45 !!

Had 1300 hrs. early check-in Sat. In Rodanthe. Watched cleaning crew (of 1) leave house and move to car in driveway till 1240 hrs. Sat in driveway till 1250 hrs. At 1317 hours received house entry code = “ready”. Floors untouched. Had to vacuum for near an hour. Kitchen and dining room tables dirty. Sinks in bathrooms not cleaned. Rental Co. advertises special COVID cleaning. A laugh. Found 1 dining room chair w/ back punched out, TV inoperable due to prior renters tampering w/ cables and kitchen sink sprayer on at all times. Worst all in all for this house in 15 years Coming here.

Beach only 1/2 as wide ( sand to surf ).

Had 1300 hrs. early check in 2 weeks ago at Salvo house. Cleaning crew didn’t arrive until 1300 hrs. and didn’t finish for 3 hours. Early check in $$ a waste. Same rental Co.

Kids took 10 minute beach walk after dinner and found lots of sea glass and shells.

Surf = lots of near sandbars as usual. Lots of food garbage strewn in sand off deck. Thank you prior renters.

East sky brightening now. Goin out to fish low tide before “visitors” flood the beach.
