Appreciate the reports.

Have you tried squid??

Bertha visited the North Coast this AM for about 4 hours...just light rain. Sticky and in 80's. Sun. high to be only 60.

Zipped up saltwater gear and moved to "staging area" this morning.

Will be doin usual, playin wind in determining AM fishing. (Always 1st cast before sunup - best time of the day). 1st choice always surf. Won't do evening surf till at Rodanthe house last week down. Will be at disadvantage this year as son who gets live bait each morning not coming this trip.

Last few years surf has been real sloooooooooow. (Boards at bait shops say otherwise but we know they're there to sell bait not tell the truth.) Sound just the opposite - wild. Most action on fishbites in surf has been sharks.

Lastly...sure you're not catchin pins/pigs rather than spot?? Don't be upset w/ the question.
