Yur on the right track...

Tackle shops are there for one reason...to sell. Always laugh at their daily "catchin" reports. Few buy anything if reports say not biting. Chamber of Commerce web fans out all over. They're there to trumpet all phases of tourism. Flip side is locals need to make a living.

You can trust all here. Outside of that and those you know...as have posted before in words of Fox Mulder..."Trust No One"!
