Mrs. Capt much better, about 75%. Doin home exercise + 2x week therapy. Diagnosed just bad arthritis. Thanks.
Re: slugs. Know that trick - but wastes good beer:):) Wait till after next get together and use unemptied bottles. Strange thing is they are on deck, 4 steps above ground, w/ plenty of vegetation available at ground level.
Re: Cat. Nope, "not" a cat person + inside cats let outside don't last long here. Coyotes or mountain lions.
Re: strangling noise. Not the cat in heat thing. Know that from old house where did it often under bedroom window. Neighbor I mentioned hearin it has 2 cats and not mistaking cats for the sound. Mentioned in past enuf to drive this Capt onto porch at nite when hearin it.

Dryin out yet?? Here in week 7 of drought. Probably 1/2" total in 7 weeks. Bettin winter precip will be bad. Nature always seems to even off the moisture over the year.
Banner year for low acid tomatos. Son picked 148 Roma's in one day. 15 x15 ft. garden in town adjacent. Green peppers large but not as prolific as usual. Cukes plentiful as usual.
Only recreation since back from beach = bocce here. In playoffs starting Mon. No fishin yet, but like to get out soon as temps and humidity drops a bit.
