Monday Report

Rodanthe. East Point. 0515-0900 hrs. Calm. No flies, no bites. Water clear. Temp up to 82. Dolphins plentifull last couple days absent.

4 other fishermen out around 0700 hrs. 2 throwin metal. 2 set in spikes. Nothing.

Surf camp arrived at 0800 hrs. On this Capt's line by 0815 hrs. Plenty of room N and S but sharin beach "not" in their lessons. Never is.

Took Mrs. Capt north for shoppin in AM. Hit 6 of her favorites. Obviously stock has changed dramatically. More clothing and trinkets.

Traffic same as a Sat. On the bypass.

Talked a while w/ Carl and Shawn at Daniels furniture. Good folks. They personaly delivered furniture to old house on North Coast years ago. No charge. Carl quick to point out the increased rudeness of visitors everywhere incl. driving.

Visitors in rental cross street continue to block 1/2 our driveway rather than use their own. Best not to start a war. Never know how folks have their heads screwed on these days.

Tried Sam and Omies for lunch. Line waiting. Setted for tube steaks at the house.

Dinner out much same as lunch as 2 tri-city eateries closed Mon.'s. Ended at Board Wok again.

Beach now loaded w/ canopies overnite. Park service gal said "Oh yeah...guess we did get bulletin to tag em", but of course she wasn't doin it.
