Best to sterilize those eggs good with some heat and also those big breasts Food Lion sells that is where their worn out laying hens go.

I will grab a knot real tight between my fingers and melt the end with a lighter if it fails the melted end will slip down to the knot.

That will save it but will have to be tied again or the little melted end will pop off. My favorite general purpose knot is the Palomar knot.

Great for quick and easy on swivels, hooks, lures and for joining lines the Surgeon's Knot it's bulky but fast.
