Every time one of these egg/salmonella recalls happens, I'm more inclined to get a flock of hens. The city will let you keep a few, no roosters. Then I remember raising chickens as a 4-H project. So....... I just cross my fingers, cuz I like eggs over easy and runny.

King - I ordered the book you recommended - 'Coastal Fishing in the Carolinas'. I'm trying to ration the reading and enjoy it over several days, and not read it in one setting. I wish I had this prior to starting my annual trips to the OBX. It will be with McNally's knot/rig book on my next trip down.
