I meant tomatoes, the tomato killer freeze has been averaging out to around 2 weeks before Christmas it was December 10th last year.

The earliest was the first week of November and the latest was the first week of January. The water temperature keeps it warmer longer.

The mainland has already had their freeze awhile back. It is the reverse in early spring where the water temperature keeps it chilly.

I tried potatoes a couple times before what I ended up with was a bunch of baby seed potatoes, they have to bloom good to do well.

I like those and have noticed they are becoming popular at the farmers' markets and sometimes you will see them at the grocery stores.

They are good boiled then pan fried whole with the skin on in a little oil until the outside starts to get crispy, bigger ones cut in half.

One of my grandmothers used to fix them often the simple way. Different ways are on the internet if you search for pan fried baby potatoes.

Looks like they are building something between the banks at the marketplace in SS it's not the Starbucks going on the other side of one.

I heard a coyote story recently about one grabbing a small dog here while a lady was walking it and she turned into super woman and threw it.

If you have to do battle, a kick in the side as hard as you can will stop a big dog from attacking something. A good video about them below.

It is a long video and the town needs to get a new microphone, near the end were pet encounters and a cat colony lady said some gruesome stuff.
