snowblower

The summer before last a retired couple moved into a house above me below a blind hill from a midwestern state. There is no such thing but blind hills and curves in this hill country so we don't have any use for snow blowers simply because the is no where to blow it and we don't get big snows anyway. When we do there wet and cause damage.I drove past one day and he had a snow blower at the end of his driveway with for sale sign on it.I have seen them on tv and in yards during fishing trips in the northern states so I do in fact know they exist but this may have been the first one I have ever seen up close.(need to correct some grammar, the blind hill is above their house, they are in fact from a midwestern state.)Well no one bought the thing as it turned out. Fast foward to last winter when we got a whopping eight inches of snow and the county was shut down for the day.I walked to a market about a mile above the house on a main road to get a newspaper and some dip. When I walked past the snow blower guys house and he was in full blowing mode.A couple directly across the road from him were struggling to dig out and I ask them if they needed anything from the market and they ask me to bring a newspaper and some orange juice back by if you don't care. Going there any way I replied.I assumed that the snow blower guy would help them out. When I walked back their paper and juice snow blowers guy's drive clean as a whistle, neighbors still digging out.I am not trying to disparage anyone because where their from, heck I've had neighbors a couple of of times that I helped out they would not pee on me if I was on fire.Sorry about the ramble, but my point being is try to help out you're neighbor when you can.Sometimes you simply can't,but try,and don't expect any return on investment.Stay safe and warm and don't laugh to hard if we get six inches of snow this weekend.
