Chowan River

The stripers are making a good show on the Chowan River up near the Ray's Beach area, which is near the Gates County and Hertford County shore lines. Trolling deep is the key but using bates such as the storm Wild Eye Shad or the forever "Rattling Rough" Most of the fish are averaging 19 to 22 inches. My uncle says that you have to fish deep for the fish are mostly on the bottom. Schooling has been very good also so watch for these feedings. Keeping a tight line, Debbie
