1975 my son and I stayed at the Rodanthe fishing pier motel.
Things were tight financially so I opted on staying at the small rooms just behind the dunes, next to the pier.
$10.00 per night, 1 light bulb in the middle of the 1 room with 2 beds, 1 portable closet for clothes..
We did have a fun time, however I am happy things got better eventually.
