It'll be interesting if they try to lengthen it. If you saw the piling laying on the beach I didn't see any that were snapped. One of the owners said the waves scoured the sand out from underneath the pier and the water is now 25 feet deep. If it doesn't fill back in that will be a great fishing hole.
