A big wide beach with an established double dune line with sea oats would be great but it's not going to happen.

I'm sure some of them have personal agendas for doing it, either that or oceanfront rental house owners. Personally I don't have any use for it yet I would have to pay the same as an oceanfront rental house owner and some will use the sand for a beach push around their house. I live on a higher area at the south end of Kitty Hawk that's only flooded during the Ash Wednesday Storm back in the 1960s and beach nourishment wouldn't stop that from happening from a big storm.

What they should do is 25 percent less sand and pay for it all with the occupancy taxes or see about getting some storm damage help.
