Joe,
I'm taking your talking about the public pier just on the other side of Manteo on 64.
We were down the last week of Sept. Fished & crabbed there twice. Lots of smalls (Pins or Pigs can't really tell the diff) and crabs. Caught a bunch of small flounder. Wife used shrimp and got the bottom fish, I used Gulp White swimming mullet for the Flounder. Always got crabs in the traps, mostly on the sides of the bridge. Pulled 1 doz. keepers plus lots of smalls.
