Fishing the middle of September

If it's sunny the sand fleas should be out, really everything likes them.
I have not tried Gulp Sand Fleas.
I'd also try finger mullet even a frozen bag from the tackle shops either use whole, pieces or fillets.
The finger mullet start their run in the beginning of September and that can make the fish picky.
Storms going by offshore can make the ocean rough and you might have to go to a fishing pier, the catwalk or little bridge.
Early fall varies you could have a whole lot of one thing like bluefish, spot, black drum or puppy drum even a good variety of everything.
Sometimes it can be run of something really odd like sheepshead in the surf.
If the wind and current isn't right it could be slow but there's usually a few sea mullet and maybe some pompano up close to the beach.
A lot of bigger size sharks can be around after dark during the middle of September, they can destroy everything you have with you fast.
