Talkin w/ friend/owner of furniture store on bypass.(unnamed). Told me in past Weather Channel wanted to set up in his parking lot and he refused. Told me in past he'd seen the crew throwing buckets of water at the reporters to make it look bad.

Re: route. 12 to SR64 to I95, north to I64, west to Waynesboro. Left East Point at 0530 hrs. Arrived at Waynesboro motel at noon. Roads empty till I95, and even then light to I64. I64 light too. Avoided bypass route 158, 168 just in case. Been fine tho as almost no cars leaving Hatteras early (as Mrs. Capt wanted).
