Try some fresh shrimp , too. I actually had decent luck with the crab flavored Fishbites last time I was down , and I've heard really good things about the sand flea flavor , but everywhere has been out of stock when I've tried to find them , so they must be pretty good. Like Terry says , just a basic bottom rig or a Fireball rig. If you tie your own , I've been making my own fireball rigs with green , chartreuse and flourescent orange styrofoam slip bobbers. I cut those in half with a hot knife , and put them on the loop above the hook.

If you're on a pier try right against the pilings with some sand fleas for sheepshead , with shrimp for pompanos. You can't go wrong with a red and white Gotcha or a stingsilver for the blues around the pier.
