Big Snowstorm

I watched WAVY channel 10 tv news late tonight and they were calling it a once in a lifetime snow event for this part of North Carolina. The latest was 7 to 10 inches of snow with isolated spots of 12 inches in a big angle from Duck to Virginia Beach going back past Elizabeth City. I'm just below it in the 5 to 7 inch area. Looked like northern Hatteras Island was only going to get 1.5 inches of snow and the southern part of Hatteras Island was going to get rain. They said the forecast changes by the hour and if the coastal storm is a little more to the east or west it could make a big difference.

Also going to be windy according to the coastal marine forecast. That's started tonight and the temperature is dropping, the snow is suppose to start around 3 pm and not stop until around 10 am Wednesday morning. It was nice earlier today got up to 59 degrees.

Looks like some rental house renters showed up for the storm, I guess they wanted to see the snow on the beach.
