I was fishing off the catwalk when those survey crews were going by. They were getting very close. I'm no engineer but if the sand is gone under the pilings, won't it take a lot of time before sand pumped in has settled enough to be strong enough to hold up the bridge? This closure could easily go on for months. Hope the SELC will act like adults and get out of the way of the new bridge.
