Yur talkin bout the "old" people... (btw: no offense taken:)

Saw that in May, in CA, there was a 40th anniversary party commemorating the Whitehouse party Nixon had for the returning Viet Nam POWS. That was the largest party ever at the Whitehouse. 1200 guests. Bob Hope was MC.(Theres a guy who'll never be ='d in patriotism). At the CA party about 200 attended. Only about 1/3 of them left now.

(Please never forget the MIAS either...gotta believe there are still a few out there.) Shame on this country for never really seeking them out and bringing them back.

And...Scott Carpenter passed yesterday. Had pleasure of "breaking bread" w/ him in 60's when Mrs. Capt was Queen of Armed Forces Week here on the North Coast.
