I know Frogg Toggs makes good rain gear , so those are probably good.

My waders are an old pair of Orvis boot foot breathable chest waders. I lucked into them at a sale of "returns" at our local outlet. Somebody messed up and ordered size fourteen boots and had to return them , which worked out well for me as that is my size. Orvis stuff is too pricey for me otherwise , but they are very well made. I think I've used them for 12 years now? Still no leaks.

I would go for breathable , just because the neoprene is way too hot for me even on the coldest days. Redington and Simms both make good waders , but I think they are pricey too. I'd give any pair you're thinking about buying a good once over around the seams and straps just to make sure they didn't look weak. Let us know what you decide on and how they do for you! :)
