The majority of the big fall drum always show up when the water temperature is between 63-68 usually with menhaden or spot around and tends to be a few before then when the water temperature is still in the 70s. That should be the middle to end of October and first week of November. I have seen people shark fishing with smaller baits catch them during the summer.
The water temperature is still in the 70s right now.
