Fall Fishing!?!

Hey guys love this site. I check it out every time I start to dream about heading down to your beautiful part of the world. Only had 2 days off since last December and shot down there for some fishing at Oregon Inlet in August. Did very well caught lots of flounder and landed a really nice Red Drum on a double jig head rig tipped with mullet belly. I even quit my job and moved down there for the summer season of 2008 in attempt to land a dream job in the OBX. I am a 27 year old Construction Manager, needless to say that didn't pan out (hopefully the economy is getting better for you guys), but got to fish for 4 months straight before heading back to DC. So here I am burned out on the 3 hours a day sitting in traffic everyday, dreaming of the OBX. Every time I visit the Banks its the summer and I am always told the best fishing is in the Fall. Well Fall is here and I am in dire need of some relaxation and fishing. Any fall fishing info or advice would be gladly appreciated so I can plan to take a couple of days and get some lines wet. I prefer surf fishing and the Oregon Inlet point on the jetties is one of my all time favorites. Any ways guys just letting you know how jealous we are in DC. Hope to see you guys soon.
