Oregon Inlet will probably be the best place to go. I'd suggest around the bridge, Coquina Beach area on the north side or within sight of the rock jetty on the south side. I don't think the masses are here, if you get one you did good. Stop N Shop has had live eels and fresh mullet.

If your going further south the pier in Rodanthe is open and you might find a striper hanging around the pier, usually they like to get under the piers so fish in close.

The boat wreck just north of Ramp 23 might be worth checking out with bait or a Mirrolure. I've caught them there in the past but I haven't fished it in a long time. Another one is 2.55 miles south from the top of Ramp 23, watch out when your driving for old wood with metal spikes some of it is buried on the beach.

Could also be some stripers at Hatteras Inlet or at Ocracoke Inlet.

Right now it's been real cold and not very many people have been fishing, might be warmer this weekend.
