King is about right with the spanish and blues , maybe small croakers or pompanos too , but you never know.

I wouldn't try to drive on the beach without a 4wd , I've seen it done , but I've also seen the wall of shame at one of the local service/gas stations down there that has a tow truck.

I'm hoping to be down around the end of August myself , maybe we could carpool to the point , my ride runs on beer if you want to chip in.
