I've always had lots of luck with the gotchas too. They will hit a lot of different colors.My favorites have always been red/white , chartreuse/white and pink , but I have seen days when none of those would work. Red/black will work sometimes and there's one thats like a pale blue/white that I have had some success with , but they can be hard to find sometimes.

They are making some now that are red/silver mylar and red/chartreuse mylar and they seem to work ok. A lot of it is a matter of personal preference.Two ways you could go about it 1: use whatever color everybody else is using or 2: be a rebel and use a different color to see what happens.

I recommend you use a 40-50 pound leader between the plug and the main line to prevent bite offs. You also might want to try a "fireball" rig with cut bait for the bigger blues. Good Luck! Let us know how you do.
