had mouse trouble in house and vehicles until i got TOMMY the cat. stray, just showed up one day. female, i thought male, thus Tommy. showed up skinny and full of ticks. wasn't wild.got her fixed. stays outside mostly. made a place in basement for her. have not had a mouse or chimpmunk since. i think she is 4 or 5 years old. only thing about cats they will kill anything they can get.
