our trout season stays in year round. i hate it. used to come in 1st sat. in april at 12 noon. gave us guys some guy time and party time. opening day was a blast. we would get there early with good food and drink.
i have a couple private streams i fish in april. about given up on state stocking. good luck, i know you are in a good area.
